Mr. LeBlanc (“Steve”) joined Dermot’s Board in 2024. Mr. LeBlanc currently runs his family office, White Stone Family Partners. From 2012 to 2019 Mr. LeBlanc was the Founding Partner of CapRidge Partners, a fully integrated real estate and private equity operating company focused on value investments in commercial properties in the growth markets of the US. He sold his interest to his two junior partners as part of a successful succession plan. From 2008 to 2012 Mr. LeBlanc was the senior managing director of private markets, overseeing the real assets, private equity, and principal investments portfolios at the $180 Billion Teacher Retirement System of Texas (“TRS”), the sixth largest public pension plan in the US. LeBlanc’s team was responsible for managing the more than $45 Billion real estate and private equity portfolio exposure for the fund. LeBlanc led the creation of the $6 Billion private markets’ strategic partnership network at TRS. From 1998 to 2005 Mr. LeBlanc was chief executive officer, president and board member of NYSE-listed REIT Summit Properties in Charlotte, N.C. Summit had 500 employees, 18,000 apartment homes and $150-300 Million of annual development and acquisitions. Summit Properties merged with Camden Property Trust in 2005. From 1996 to 1998 Mr. LeBlanc served as president of Urban Growth Property Trust in Chicago, Ill., and from 1992 to 1996 Mr. LeBlanc served as the executive vice president for Archstone Communities Trust in Santa Fe, N.M. and from 1984-1992 Mr. LeBlanc was a senior partner at Lincoln Property Company Mr. LeBlanc is a Board member of Michaels Stores, Monday Properties, Temerity Capital Partners, the Austin Presbyterian Theological Seminary. He is the Chairman of the Board of 35 South Capital and a partner in East Avenue Ventures. He serves on the Advisory Board of Capital Creek Partners, SineCera and Blue Sage Capital. He was a Board member, trustee and governor of the Urban Land Institute and formerly served as chairman of the ULI District Council in Austin and Chairman of Affordable Central Texas, an open-end fund that preserves workforce housing in Central Texas. He was a member of the Pension Real Estate Association (PREA). He has served on the Board of the Real Estate Roundtable, the RREEF America III REIT, Summit Properties REIT (NYSE), the Investment Advisory Board of the Employee Retirement System of Texas, the Penland School of Crafts, Charlotte Latin School, Rio Grande School, and Trinity School. Mr. LeBlanc has a Bachelor of Business Administration in real estate/finance from The University of Texas at Austin where he is the Associate Director of the Real Estate and Finance Council and was an adjunct professor at the McCombs School of Business. He has also participated in the Harvard Graduate School Senior Leadership Forum, the Darden Graduate School Transformational Leadership Program, and the UNC Bell Leadership Program.
