Mr. Thomson (“John”) joined Dermot’s Board in 2015, when his family office made its initial investment in the company, and John has continued to invest personally in all of Dermot’s new investments since joining the Board. As a private investor, John sits on numerous company boards and is active on many ongoing private equity initiatives. Mr. Thomson formed Thomson Equity Partners in 2011, with a focus on private equity, multifamily real estate, and venture capital. Prior to forming Thomson Equity Partners, Mr. Thomson was a partner and investor in Norwest Bank/Wells Fargo from 1974-1983, as well as at Norwest Equity Partners, from 1984-2011 (in partnership with Norwest Corp.) Mr. Thomson is a trustee and treasurer of MOMA PSI and is on the International Council at the Walker Art Center. John received his Bachelor of Science and Masters of Business Administration from the University of South Dakota.
