Stephen Benjamin

Mr. Benjamin has been active in multi-family investment and development for nearly his entire career. He joined Dermot in 2001, acting as a Principal with primary responsibility for Dermot’s development work. In 2007 he was promoted to the firm's Chief Operating Officer under the firm's founder, William Dickey. In 2015 Mr. Dickey retired and Steve became Dermot’s Managing Partner, and CEO, and is active on all of Dermot’s activities.

Mr. Spitler joined Dermot in 2002 and currently oversees Dermot’s development activity. He has been involved with the planning, financing and construction of approximately $2 billion worth of development in New York City including 21 West End, 66 Rockwell, Hudson Crossing, The Opal and Clinton Green. Mr. Spitler handled and completed multiple real estate and financial transactions including tax-exempt bond offerings with the New York State Housing Finance Agency, Bank of America, and Fannie Mae.

Mr. Levison started his real estate career as an entrepreneur investing in multi-family value-add properties in New Haven, Connecticut. He then spent four years working in investment and development in Harlem. He joined Dermot in 2011 and is currently responsible for overseeing new acquisitions, asset management activities and property operations. He has over a decade of asset management, property management and development experience in both commercial and residential real estate. He has handled over $1 billion in transactions since joining Dermot.

Ms. Lipton joined Dermot in 2016 as a Senior Accountant responsible for overseeing Dermot’s portfolio and reporting. Prior to joining Dermot, Ms. Lipton’s work experience includes Portfolio Manager at Related Management Company for 10 years, where she was responsible for 23 mixed used properties, and as an accounting manager at Garden Homes Properties, a New Jersey based apartment owner with a portfolio of over 9,000 apartments.

As Controller, Mr. Duncan oversees the accounting and treasury functions for Dermot. Mr. Duncan joined Dermot in February 2012 after three years of self-employment and after earning his Masters in Accounting from Missouri State University.

Ms. Aurora joined Dermot in March 2013 where she acts as Executive Assistant to the Dermot Partners and the Corporate Office Manager. Prior to joining Dermot Ms. Aurora was a graphic designer for 20 years focusing on editorial & package design.

Mr. Calcaterra joined Dermot in June, 2011 where he was responsible for a portfolio of approximately 1,500 apartment units. In 2014 Mr. Calcaterra supervised the construction program at The Colorado on the upper East Side. Currently, he is overseeing construction at 250 East Houston Street. Mr. Calcaterra’s prior work includes Broadway Bushwick Builders, 2007-2011 and The Kinsey Corporation, 2000-2006.

Mr. Sorise joined Dermot in 2009 and is currently Investment Manager, overseeing construction activites at The Eastland located at 377 East 33rd Street. The project includes renovations to all units and common areas in the building. Prior to managing the project at The Eastland, Mr. Sorise ran two of Dermot’s properties in Queens and worked on numerous building projects on Dermot’s New York City Portfolio.

Ms. Lampkin joined Dermot in July of 2011, and has lead the property management teams at two Dermot properties--- Moda and 66 Rockwell (where she is currently the General Manager). Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Lampkin worked with Progressive Management from 2008 to 2011.

Mr. Ludwig joined Dermot in 2014, working as the General Manager of The Colorado on East 86th Street. In 2016 Mr. Ludwig became the General Manager of 21 West End Avenue, Dermot’s largest and newest development. Prior to joining Dermot, Mr Ludwig spent 3 years at The Related Companies as a site manager for an 814 unit luxury rental called MIMA on West 42nd Street, and 13 years at Orsid Realty Corp. as the Executive Vice President in charge of operations.

Ms. Ortizjoined Dermot in 2014 and since 2015 has been the General Manager at MODA, in Jamaica, Queens. Since joining Dermot, she has been a part of the property management teams at three Dermot properties. Ms. Ortiz was previously employed with Rosedale Management Co. from 2011 to 2014.

Mr. Albor joined Dermot in September of 2016 as the General Manager at 250 East Houston, one of Dermot's newest assets. Prior to joining Dermot, Charlie was the Property Manager at 175 Kent in Williamsburg for Equity Residential. Mr. Albor was at Equity from 2012 to 2016. Prior to Equity he was a Leasing Agent with The Laramar Group in Fort Lauderdale, FL from 2011-2012.

Mr. Russell joined Dermot in 2015 and is the Director of Leasing at 66 Rockwell. Prior to joining Dermot, Joshua was employed by The Brodsky Organization, Vantage Management, Stonehenge and Manhattan Skyline, from 2008 to 2014. Mr. Russell’s background provided him with experience in a variety of property types ranging from 1,800 unit property in Harlem, 1100 unit luxury tower on Manhattan’s Upper West Side and overseeing leasing of 5,000 units in a portfolio throughout Manhattan.

Ms. Roa joined Dermot May 2016 as Director of Leasing for 21 West End Avenue overseeing all leasing and marketing efforts. Ms. Roa has worked in the residential real estate industry for over 10 years including The Brodsky Organization, Stuyvesant Town / Peter Cooper Village (Leasing Manager - 11,000+ rental property), and The Irvine Company in Southern California (Sr. Sales Manager - 998 unit Lease Up).

Mr. Cekay joined Dermot in February 2016 as leasing manager of The Colorado, 201 East 86th Street. From 2011 until joining Dermot, he served as vice president of leasing and marketing for Nancy Packes Inc. where he participated in consulting projects for developers such as The Durst Organization, Forest City Ratner Companies and The Brodsky Organization.

Ms. Coello joined Dermot in January 2016 at Leasing Manager at MODA in Jamaica, Queens. She takes pride in executing leases and providing luxury apartments for her customers. Ms. Coello has been in the property management industry since 2009 working in leasing and management at several New York firms including C&C Management and WinnResidential.

Prior to that he earned his bachelor’s degree in Musical Theatre Performance from West Chester University of Pennsylvania.

Ms. De Pinto joined Dermot in June 2016 as Director of Resident Services at 21 West End Avenue. She has 13 years of hospitality experience in hotel operations management. One of her many tasks is providing courteous customer service to our residents, assuring they have a smooth move-in and living experience. Ms. De Pinto also oversees the amenity spaces and events by creating and maintaining an exciting, diverse and fun resort lifestyle for residents. Prior to joining Dermot, Ms. De Pinto managed the Front Office and Housekeeping at Hilton Hotels.

Mr. Potter joined Dermot in 2016, as the Resident Manager at 21 West End Avenue. Prior to joining Dermot he was the Resident Manager for Riverwalk Point for Related Management since 2015. Prior to that he was the Chief Engineer for the Town Center of Virginia Beach, a 3 million square foot mixed use commercial, residential complex consisting of 11 buildings from 2004 to 2015.
