The Dermot Company seeks a Leasing & Marketing Associate for the New York city portfolio, reporting to Leasing & Marketing Director. This is a junior level position, with exposure to all areas of residential real estate marketing and leasing. The ideal candidate will have experience in customer service, enjoy helping people and bring a “can do” attitude. This professional will need to be open to learning about market trends, analyzing data and assisting the Leasing & Marketing Director as directed. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with a collaborative team.

Some of the things you’ll be working on include:
Assisting in creating marketing strategies and in the execution and implementation of the marketing plan.
Creating and implementing social media strategies.
Touring apartments with prospects and adhering to thorough follow-up procedures.
Leasing and pre-leasing apartments.
Completing applications and lease documents.
Walking the tour path daily and maintaining model apartments.
Assisting management with resident relations.
Building and maintaining relationships with industry partners and brokers.
Completing weekly leasing reports and monthly market surveys with the guidance of the Leasing and Marketing Director.
Completing additional tasks as assigned.
Your professional track record, knowledge and skills include:
Ability to work weekends.
1-2 years residential leasing experience.
Background in Marketing and/or Sales and customer service experience.
Yardi, On-site, Excel knowledge; ability to learn new technology and programs quickly.
A big plus: Rent Stabilization knowledge and luxury residential building experience.
Real Estate License a plus; if not licensed, must agree to obtain license as required.
Exceptional communication, interpersonal, presentation and organization skills.
A strong work ethic and commitment to meet deadlines.
Authorized to work for any employer in the United States without any restrictions whatsoever.

Our compensation and benefits package include a competitive salary, comprehensive benefits including medical, dental and vision, paid time off and retirement with match when eligible. The annualized gross base range for this position is $62,500 plus commission if licensed or willing to obtain a license as required after hire.
